3M’s Gel Wrist Rest with antimicrobial protection is wonderful. It sits on my desk and stays put with a simple bottom that adheres to the surface without leaving a residue. It features a soft, leather-like covering and the padding is both comfortable and supportive. My wrist sits comfortably on the rest and doesn’t stick to it. This allows for free movement of my hand as I click around on my computer. I highly recommend the 3M Gel Wrist Rest for both home and office.

I like this leatherette gel wrist rest more than the cloth covered kind. The material used on others is icky to me, kind of gives me the same feeling as when somone runs their fingernails down a chalkboard. I have never thought much about the necessity of having an anti-microbial wrist rest, I think I would tend to me more cautious of the mouse itself. Product is well made and appears it will last quite a while and is easy to clean with a quick wipe. I like the fact that it is a standalone wrist rest, too, as it it easier to just throw in my bag and use with my travel mouse. All in all, I think it is quite handy and useful.
I had the opportunity to check out this wrist wrest and the 3M Foam Mouse Pad with Wrist Rest, Black, Antimicrobial Product Protection (MW209MB) . I did not care for the 3M Foam Mouse Pad. It was scratchy and very annoying to use. This wrist rest, however, is heaven. This rest is completely different from the other rest in every way possible. It’s comfortable to use, and the gel is extremely comforting on your wrist. The little silicone on the bottom of the gel rest makes it stick to any surface, so I don’t have to worry about it sliding around. And the fact that I can use it with my favorite mouse pad is absolutely perfect. I absolutely love this gel wrist rest, and as a writer and photographer, I’ll use it every day. And for the price? I can afford to replace it when and if it ever breaks apart. It’s built so sturdily, however, I don’t think it’ll be falling apart any time soon.
If you spend a lot of time manipulating your mouse, a rest of some kind is essential. The 3M Gel Wrist Rest Pad may be just what you are looking for. It is small, not bulky, yet eminently effective. This pad boasts Antimocrobial protection. It would be wise to carry your own Gel pad and use only your own as opposed to using computer accesories that many hands have touched. Another feature I find helpful is that the pad sticks to the surface and does not slide around as you are clicking here and there.
I owned the matching keyboard version of this wrist rest, so I was looking forward to try the mouse version. It is a great complement and is definitely the best option if you struggle with any wrist issues. It has a firm but comfortable support and the leatherette surface doesn’t get sticky or stinky very easily. It also is rather low profile so it doesn’t stick out loudly like most typical mouse pads do. It is also portable, but I don’t believe it is really intended to be as such.
